Casa del Conte sits on the estate of Monte Calvo atop one of Umbria’s many hills, overlooking the Tiber River and with a spectacular view of Todi.

In English Monte Calvo means “Bald Mountain”. This is just what one saw thirty five years ago when an Italian aristocrat and his American wife acquired the property that dates back to the 1400’s. Today, you’ll find an 18th Century farm house beautifully restored to modern convenience, a small Chapel, and a ruined medieval tower all surrounded by lawn and plants..

The grounds include 30 Hectares, 66 Acres of land with olive grove, fruit orchards, oak woods and stunning fields of wheat and alfalfa.

The house has 5 bedroom, 4 full bathrooms and powder room. The living space includes approximately 340 m2, (3660 sq ft2) with spacious living rooms for the group to enjoy sharing the days activities. The kitchen with French doors opens to the courtyard with table for 10, large umbrella, charcoal grill and pots of flowers and herbs.

The property includes a private swimming pool with the Tower backdrop, a bocci court, lovely hedges of antique roses, and the shade of an enormous oak tree.

The house keeper is available 4 hours, 5 days a week and this is included in rent. She is available to cook evening meals at 15€ an hour.
