Gelsi is an original Umbrian farmhouse hundreds of years old and restored for modern use in 1990 with attention to detail and use of traditional material. Surrounded with beautiful countryside and views, Gelsi is just 10 km from the hilltop town of Todi and well positioned for day trips in Umbria. You come to the house down the country road from the tiny hamlet of Mannella, which is perched on the hillside above the house. As you approach the house you can see how it nestles into the hills, with the more mountainous terrain across the Tiber in the background.
One enters the house via the kitchen courtyard with its marble table and brightly striped cushions, offering a wonderful spot for your morning coffee or evening alfresco dining. A large country kitchen is right off this courtyard with the cooking and eating areas adjacent. The living room and fireplace offer a set of French windows that open onto the front terrace situated under the rose arbor with a view of the pool and garden and the fields beyond. There is a bathroom with shower on this level.
The bedrooms are on the second and third floors. The master bedroom and the twin-bedded room with its own sitting area are reached via a wide hallway that still has the original flooring. The third floor includes a queen bedroom and a second with large twin beds sharing a bath. The home is truly nestled in the hillside and very private for your holiday stay.
