OVERVIEW

The 11th century monastery of Sant’Antimo sits on a hill at 422 meters (1384ft) above sea level with wonderful views of the valley and the hill top village of Todi. In the area, there is Petroro castle on the Roman road that connects Todi to via Flaminia towards the north. Sant’Antimo was built by Benedictine monks of the Vallombrosa congregation. This history leads us to believe that the estate dates to the first half of the 1200’s.

Today the monastery has been transformed into a large Italian villa and restored chapel, owned by the Peppucci family since 1989. The restoration was completed in 1992 with careful attention to detail with large living spaces for family groups and friends to enjoy. The meticulously cared for gardens are inviting with seating areas to enjoy the Umbrian spring, summer and fall. The property is surrounded by the vines managed by Cantina Peppucci.
